Ahh, Syrah

In 2001 we planted 36 hillside acres in the beautiful Adelaida region on the westside of Paso Robles and now sell our grapes to some of the finest wineries in California. In our first harvest in 2004 we decided to keep a few tons and make a small amount of wine for our own use and to test the market. The intensity of the fruit and the extroadinary richness of the wine convinced us to keep going. By 2006 we had convinced winemaker Andrew Murray to not only buy our grapes for his wine, but to make ours as well. We couldn't be happier with the results and we hope you'll feel the same. The 2006 was a recipient of a 90 point rating by Robert Parker in August of 2009.  It was released in the fall and is now available on our site or in select restaurants and wine shops in California.

2005 Estate Syrah
Huge, beautiful and almost black in color, tones of ripe blackberries and vanilla glide over the tongue. Despite the intensity, the wine is smooth and the savory experience lingers with a mellow aftertaste.

2006 Estate Syrah
Awarded 90 points by Robert Parker who said: "Made by Andrew Murray, this beautiful Syrah displays wonderful elegance as well as a floral blue and blackberry nose, with hints of licorice and tar. The wine exhibits a balanced mouthfeel with outstanding ripeness and good acidity, giving vibrancy and freshness to its rich fruit. This wine should drink nicely for 5-6 years. "
