Our Transportation to the Ranch
Since we live in Napa, Jack uses our plane to get back and forth to the Ranch. It's been such a time saver, plus after 30+ years as an airline pilot for American Airlines, it allows him to keep up his flying skills!
Vineyard Overview
No wonder the family loves to gather here and our vintners love to visit too.
Views
The views are pretty spectacular!
Our Label Artist~John Robbins
Our family is so fortunate to have such talented people who are so giving of their time and talents. Dotty's cousin, John Robbins who spent 40 years in packaging and marketing for Crown Zellerback in California volunteered to use his incredible pen and ink skills to turn a photo of the vineyards at Terra Bella into our label art. We couldn't be happier with the results and are especially pleased that it was a family member who produced our beautiful label. Thank you John!
Our Family At the Ranch
Daughter Jen and husband Dave Taylor love the ranch too and have even vactioned there. With 180 acres of open space it's a great place to roam and enjoy the beauty and seclusion.

Vineyards Respond to Loving Care
Captain Jack, our patriarch, inspects the vines after pruning. Jack spends a few days a week in the vineyard from March until November making sure everything is done to meet the demands of our contracts for grapes with other vintners and those of our winemaker, Andrew Murray. Terroir, climate, the right clones & rootstocks, good old fashioned hard labor and the blessings of Mother Nature all go into a great bottle of wine.
Springtime In The Vineyards
Mid-March is the time of year when the vines are pruned of last year's growth, depending on how wet the weather is and also how cold as Spring frost is a worry for growers. At Terra Bella we have been blessed with the natural protection of our hillsides and coastal influence and have never experienced frost.
Springtime in the Vineyards
From wild and ragged to sleek and manicured, each vine is pruned and tied to its wires to produce the number of clusters desired.
The Fruit
Our incredible Syrah clusters with uniform ripening, deep color and intensity of flavor.
